CALDER PARK DRAG RACING NOV. 4 , 2000

THE UNTAMED DRAGSTER WAS RUN AT THE NOV. 4, 2000
MEETING. UNFORTUNATELY THE STALL CONVERTER WAS
DAMAGED FROM TESTING TWO WEEKS BEFORE THIS
MEETING & WAS UNKNOWN UNTIL THE FIRST QUALIFYING
PASS, WHICH WAS WASTED.  BACK TO THE PITS & THE TEAM
STARTED TO REMOVE THE POWERGLIDE , STALL CONVERTER
& ALSO DRAIN THE CONTAMINATED TRANS OIL. THANKS TO
MARK SHEARER HAVING A SPARE STALL CONVERTER.
THE CREW  DANNY SELVA, CHRIS FINNIN, SCOTT FITZPATRICK,
ROB KRANJC &  ROB BAIN  DID A INCREDABLE JOB TO GET
THE DRAGSTER  READY FOR NEXT ROUND OF QUALIFYING.
THE QUALIFYING RUN WAS INTERESTING, THE DRAGSTER
LEFT THE START LINE VIOLENTLY, WHEN IT SHIFTED TOP
GEAR,  IT HOPPED AROUND IN THE BACK END & THEN STARTED
TURNING THE TYERS. IT NEEDED CORRECTING BEFORE
THE FINISH LINE & STILL RAN ET. 8.07@162MPH.
BACK TO THE PITS, MADE SOME CHANGES BUT UNFORTUNATELY
THE CHANGES DID NOT GO OUR WAY & THE DRAGSTER RAN
SLOWER WITH A ET. 8.09@158MPH. THE TEAM WAS STILL
HAPPY WE HAD QUALIFYED THIRD OUT OF  21 CARS.
LUCK WENT OUR WAY IN THE SPLIT SEAT ROUND OF RACING.
THE DRAGSTER SMOKED THE TYERS OFF THE STARTLINE
& I THOUGHT THE RACING WAS OVER , BUT WHEN I LOOKED UP
MY WIN LIGHT WAS FLASHING.  BERNIE  MCGRATH  RED LIGHTED
& GAVE THE WIN TO THE UNTAMED TEAM.
IN THE QUARTER FINALS UNFORTUNATELY WE RED LIGHTED. THE
DRAGSTER TURNED THE TYERS OFF THE LINE & RECOVERD,
SO I WENT FOR IT.  WE RAN ET. 8.01@167MPH.
THE REACTION TIME WAS .374 SO OBVIOUSLY THE WAY THE DRAGSTER
IS RUNNING WE NEED A LOT MORE DELAY  IN OUR BOX.
ALLROUND THE UNTAMED RACING TEAM WAS VERY HAPPY.

THE  UNTAMED DRAGSTER  WAS  RAN  AT  THE  NOV.  16,  2000
MEETING  WITH  A  NEW  STALL  CONVERTER.   UNFORTUNATELY
THE  WEATHER  CONDTIONS  WERE NOT GOOD ENOUGH  TO 
DETERMINE  IF  THE  STALL  CONVERTER  WAS  COMPATABLE.
ALTHOUGH WE ARE REASONABLE CONFIDENT  ITS  WORKING OK.
WE  QUALIFYED   FIFTH OUT   OF  FIFTEEN  CARS  WITH  A
ET. 8.40@160 MPH. ET. 8.38.  SO THE  DRAGSTER  WAS  RUNNING
FAIRLY CONSTISTENT.   WE RACED BILL HONAN IN THE FIRST   ROUND.   BILL  HAD  THE  R/TIME  ADVANTAGE 
BUT  HIS CAR  RAN  WAY  OFF  HIS  DIAL-IN.  THE  UNTAMED
RACING TEAM  DIAL-IN  WAS ET. 8.35  &  WE WON  WITH  A ET. 8.45.
IN  THE  QUARTER  FINALS  WE  RACED  TOP  QUALIFYER, 
RACHAEL  CLANCY.  R/TIMES  WERE WITHIN .001 OF  A  SECOND,
AT  THE  END IT  WAS  A  DUAL  BREAKOUT WITH  RACHAEL  BREAKING OUT BY LESS.  SO THE WIN WAS AWARDED TO RACHAEL.
  A GOOD CLOSE RACE.
RACHAEL  CLANCY  WENT  ON  TO  WIN  HER  FIRST  NATIONAL
EVENT.

THE  UNTAMED  DRAGSTER WAS  RAN  AT  THE DEC.  9,  2000 MEETING.
BEFORE  THE MEETING WE MADE SOME  CHANGERS  TO
MOTOR .  LUCKILY  THE CHANGES  WENT  OUR  WAY  &
THE  DRAGSTER  RAN  LIKE  A  DREAM.  ON  RACE  DAY  THE  WEATHER
CONDTIONS  WERE  GOOD,  IN  THE  FIRST ROUND  OF  QUALIFYING  THE   DRAGSTER  RAN  ITS  BEST  EVER ET. 7.93 @ 170 MPH.   IN
ROUND  TWO  OF  QUALIFYING  THE  WEATHER  CONDTIONS  WERE NOT
QUITE  AS  GOOD BUT  THE  DRAGSTER STILL  RAN
A  VERY  CLOSE  ET.  7.95 @  166 MPH.    WITH  THESE  TWO  RUNS  WE 
QUALIFIED  SECOND  OUT  OF  A TWENTY  FOUR  CAR  FIELD.
IN THE SPLIT  SEAT  ROUND  OF  RACING  I  PULLED  UP  NEXT  TO  GOOD
FRIEND &  COMPETITOR  CRAIG  BAKER,  CRAIG`S  DIAL-IN  WAS 9.82 &
CRAIG  RAN  ET. 9.82 WITH  A  .460 R/T.   OUR DIAL-IN  WAS 7.95 &  WE  RAN ET. 7.95  UNFORTUNATELY  OUR  R/TIME
WAS  TOO SLOW  WITH  .550,  WHICH  GAVE  CRAIG  THE  WIN. 
ALLROUND  THE  DRAGSTER  RAN  VERY  WELL  &  VERY  CONSISTENT.
ONCE I SHARPEN  UP  THE  R/TIMES  , THE  SKY IS  THE  LIMIT.

CASTROL  AUSTRALIA  DAY CLASSIC  JAN.  27th  2001
THE  UNTAMED RACING TEAM TRAVELED TO  WILLOWBANK  FOR THIS  ROUND OF  COMPETITION .  WE  RAN  AS  C/DRAGSTER  WITH  A  8.15  INDEX.   AFTER  THREE HARD QUALIFYING  RUNS  IN  THE  HEAT  WE QUALIFIED  No. 5  IN  AN 11 CAR  FIELD.   WE   WON  OUR  FIRST   &  SECOND  ROUND  OF  RACING WHICH  GAVE  US  A  BYE  INTO  THE  FINAL.  BUT  UNFORTUNATELY  IT  RAINED  AND THE MEETING WAS CANCELLED.  AFTER  A  GOOD WEEKEND OF  RACING  UNFORTUNATELY  THINGS  TURNED  BAD.  4  HOURS INTO  OUR  17  HOUR  TRIP  HOME,  THE  TOW  CAR  BROKE DOWN  22km  NORTH OF  MOREE.   IT WAS A 13 HOUR  TOWTRUCK  TRIP  HOME  TO  SHEPPARTON VIC AND MADE IT A VERY EXPENSIVE TRIP. 

2001  K&H  AUSTRALIAN  NATIONALS
THE  UNTAMED  RACING TEAM  DRAGSTER  PERFORMED  VERY WELL
AT  THE  2001  NATIONALS.   THE  NATURALLY  ASPIRATED  385 C.I.D.  SVO  SMALL  BLOCK  FORD  DRAGSTER  QUALIFIED  No 3.  ET. 7.78 @ 172 MPH.    NOW  IF  YOU  COMPARE  THAT  WITH  No. 1  QUALIFIER  PAUL  WARD  FROM  TASMANIA  RUNNING  A  SUPERCHARGED  502 C.I.D.  BIG  BLOCK  FORD  DRAGSTER  WITH  A  ET.7.54 @ 182 MPH.   IT  JUST  GOES TO SHOW  YOU HOW  AWSOME  THE  UNTAMED  DRAGSTER  IS.   UNFORTUNATELY
THE  RACING  ENDED  WITH  A  RED  LIGHT  .387  IN  FIRST  ROUND  OF
RACING.   LETS  HOPE  FOR  BETTER  LUCK  AT THE  WINTER  NATIONALS.

COMPETITION DEBUT IN THE 2001-2002 SERIES
THE UNTAMED RACING TEAM DEBUT THE DRAGSTER IN COMPETITION C/D AT THE
WINTERNATIONALS 8-10/6/O1 WE QUALIFIED No. 5 WITH ET. 8.12 @ 162.51 MPH.
WE RACED ALL THE WAY TO THE SEMI. FINAL.


THE UNTAMED RACING TEAM WENT BACK TO WILLOWBANK FOR  A
SUPER COMP. MEETING ON THE 8/12/01 TO TEST THE DRAGSTER FOR
THE AUSTRALIAN NATIONALS. IT WAS A VERY SUCCESSFUL MEETING WE BROKE
THE  TRACK RECORD WITH  ET. 8.05 @ 163.40 MPH. WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THAT
NOW  WE WERE READY FOR THE AUSTRALIAN NATIONALS.


THE UNTAMED RACING TEAM JUST MADE IT TO THE AUSTRALIAN NATIONALS 18-19/1/02
  AS THE CREW DROVE TO WILLOWBANK.  DRIVER ANTHONY SELVA  FLEW  INTO BRISBANE
DUE TO WORK COMMITMENTS.  BUT WE GOT TWO QUALIFING RUNS
IN  ON FRIDAY  ET. 8.06  @  164.23 MPH. & WON THE AUSTARLIAN NATIONALS.
OUR FIRST GOLD CHRISTMAS TREE IN COMP. & 100 POINTS.


THE WESTERNATIONALS  2-3/3/02 VERY NICE TRACK VERY FRIENDLY PEOPLE
HOPE TO GO BACK . WE QUALIFIED No. 6 OUT 21 CARS. BROKE THE TRACK RECORD
WITH ET. 8.00 @ 166.35 MPH. & GOT TO THE SEMI. FINAL. WHICH GIVES A VERY NICE
190 POINTS TO GO INTO THE WINTERNATIONALS.
